My son's aunt and grandmother hooked him up with three of the Angry Birds sets and the early Angry Birds figure package, and this set is by far the most impressive, providing the greatest value. It is well-designed and substantial. The Piggie AT-AT looks awesome. Most importantly, it is fun to build, fun to play with while built, and a ton of fun to knock down. It comes with 12 figures, including two "exclusive" figures, Luke Skywalker in Echo Base Gear and the AT AT Commander Pig. If you do the per figure math, that alone makes this set the best value. Throw in the fact that it actually builds into something iconic and you have the slam dunk best choice, if you are only planning on buying one of these sets for your kid for the holidays.

Edit: Five straight days of coming home and straight to playing with this toy. I have been impressed by the quantity and quality of imaginative play with this playset. You get enough bricks, in enough shapes and sizes to really mix it up. And he has.
